ASML Marathon Eindhoven 2024: Everything you need to know

New pick-up info: Bib numbers and T-shirts

In contrary to the info published earlier on the external marathon website, we will hand out your bib number and running (ASML event) T-shirt during the course of week 41 (starting Oct. 7) at ASML.

Please make sure you pick up everything during one of the slots below. If you aren’t able to collect the bib number yourself, please ask a colleague.

A few days before the pick-up moments, you will receive a personalized e-mail with your bib number from the ASML Runnersclub. Keep this bib number ready when picking up your running materials.

Double Gift Matching

The ASML Marathon Eindhoven supports the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF) this year. A big thank you to all the ASML runners who have raised 15,000 euro thus far for cancer research. As one in two people in the Netherlands will develop cancer, every donation counts!

To keep things running smoothly, from now on entry to the Runners Hangout will only be open to ASML runners who’ve registered in advance. ASML employee participation in the Marathon has grown into a huge success over the years, so we’re taking this measure for safety reasons and to avoid peak times.

Be sure to sign up today via this link to secure your Hangout entry. Admittance to the Runners Hangout is limited to max. 2,500 ASML runners at a time. Thanks for registering in advance and for your understanding, so we may give you a warm welcome! The facilities on location:

New 40 km cheer zone and aid station

Invite your family and friends to come celebrate 40 years of ASML and Marathon Eindhoven at the brand-new 40 km Cheer zone and Aid station! All full, half and quarter marathon runners will pass by here. With just 2.195 km to go, it’s the perfect spot to push you to the finish. You can find this zone next to the Philips stadium on the PSV-laan.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy the fun in the cheer zone with a DJ, viewing platform and vitamine drinks to keep the energy high. This is where the excitement happens, so let’s fuel those final strides!

Note that it may take some time (20-30 min.) to get from your parking location or the hangout location to the starting area for all distances. So please leave on time!

You may leave your belongings at the Runners Hangout (if you’ve registered in advance via link) and otherwise at the checked baggage drop and changing rooms on the TU grounds (open from 8:00–18:00).

Don't hurry before crossing the start-line. Time only starts counting when you start running. If everybody pushes to start early, it will be more crowded, so keep it easy for a spacious run.

Relay run info

Relay runners, please make sure you pick up your 4 Relay runner envelopes which include:

The 'Estafette / Relay' exchange points will be located at Gerretsonlaan (point 1), Koenraadlaan (point 2) and High Tech Campus (point 3, the latter which is only accessible for runners by bus and not for supporters). We recommend that the next relay teammate who will do the next portion of the run after you brings you warm clothing, as runners won’t return to their relay exchange point afterwards. All exchange points will have toilets and a tent with a cloakroom.

All busses to the exchange points will leave from the parking lot next to the Atlas building on the TU campus from 9:00 onwards. Make sure you’re there on time. The same buses will also take runners back accordingly to the TU grounds.

You do no have to submit your order of running towards the organization. For safety reasons, it’s not possible to finish as a team of four at the same time. But the final runner of your relay team needs to submit the start number band with Bib-Tag at the finish area on the Vestdijk. In exchange, four commemorative medals will be handed over to this runner for your entire team.

Practical information regarding the event day

On October 13, traffic in Eindhoven will be heavily disrupted. Prepare for significant delays getting to the city center, unless you walk or come by bike. Public transport is limited, and many roads will be blocked. Please visit this link to find all up-to-date information about access to the ASML Marathon Eindhoven.

Throughout the day, ASML will be taking photos. If you don’t want to be in photos, please make sure that you stand somewhere else when photos are taken. ASML may publish group and other (individual) photos on the myASML intranet, ASML.com, social media or other channels. As this is a public event, we assume everyone gives their consent to be featured in any promotional materials related to the marathon.

Runners drink at ASML

The Monday after the marathon, October 14, we're organizing an informal get together at 16:00 at the GWO corner, in the plaza of building 7:

As always, this will be an entertaining social event. You will receive an invite at a later time via Outlook. Please accept or reject this invite and select 'send the response now'.

ASML Marathon Eindhoven app

We developed a special app for the event, named 'ASML Marathon Eindhoven', which provides live tracking functionality, so family, friends and coworkers can follow you. You can download it in the App Store or Google Play. Note: Live tracking is only possible if you have registered the runners you want to track prior to the race day.

Cancelling your registration

If you decide not to participate, please cancel your registration. This will save resources and/or allow others to participate now that it's sold out. To cancel, go to your profile page and select Cancel next to your registration to the ASML Eindhoven Marathon. This will flag your registration as cancelled, and allows us to re-allocate that slot to a colleague on the reserve list.
